I've got this stubborn foot fungus that won't quit. It's been months—started from sweaty gym socks—and my soles are thick, cracked, and itchy as heck. I've tried clotrimazole cream and even soaked my feet in vinegar, but it's like it laughs at me and keeps growing. I'm worried it's too deep now. Anyone beat a tough case like this? What finally worked for you? I need something that'll actually finish it off.

Stubborn fungus is a beast—I fought one for ages too! Mine kicked off from gym socks I didn't wash fast enough; my soles got thick and cracked, itched like crazy—sound familiar? Clotrimazole and vinegar are okay starters, but if it's dug in deep, they won't always cut it—mine stuck around too. Here's what I did: scrubbed my feet daily with soap, dried them 'til they were bone-dry (used a hairdryer on cool), and swapped socks twice a day—fresh ones every time. Then I stepped it up with Hongo Killer cream; it's got tolnaftate that goes hard on tough fungus. Slathered it on thick at night, light in the morning, and in three weeks, the cracks started closing, itch faded, thickness peeled off. Takes patience—keep shoes dry with powder and toss old socks; they're fungus hideouts. You'll kick it eventually—don't give up!
